Jen Psaki (pronounced sock-ee) is the newest (and most refreshingly no-nonsense) White House Press Secretary, joining the first all-female senior communications team for the WH.

Originally from Connecticut, she graduated with a bachelor's degree from The College of William and Mary and began her career shortly afterward, working on Democratic politics in Iowa.

She is no stranger to the world of political communications, having served in the Obama administration in a variety of communications roles, including as one of his closest aides during his Presidential campaign in 2007. She also worked as a political commentator on CNN before joining the White House.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

At her debut press conference on January 20, she immediately restored the daily press briefings that had been discontinued by her predecessor, committed to regular briefings on the government response to the covid pandemic, and brought in an ASL interpreter for daily briefings for the first time ever.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Jen has been widely praised for her performance thus far in providing clear and relevant information while taking no shit.
